Donna grew up on Long Island and started writing songs while studying Environmental Economics in college. A few years later in 1983, a friend invited her to an open mike at the Speak Easy, a musician’s coop in NYC where she gave her first public performance.
After further studies in Education, Donna became a school teacher and tutor. For the past 30 years, has worked with students on Long Island and Queens, NY, Asheville, NC and Sarasota, FL.
Donna aspires to live in harmony with Spirit and nature. She nurtures fruits, vegetables and herbs growing in her suburban yard learning from their processes. Donna writes a blog about living more sustainably; Taking Simple Steps is posted on WordPress and aired Sarasota’s community radio station, WSLR.
To build community, Donna brings folks together in her home through salons, craft and game nights . She hopes to inspire others to live in alignment with their inner knowingness and become their truest selves.
